Behind the fabric

Our luxurious 17.5 micron superfine merino wool is harvested from happy sheep near Dubbo (NSW), before being spun in China and knitted in Melbourne to an incredibly soft 150GSM jersey. How do we know the sheep are happy? Because we only use cruelty-free, Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified non-mulesed wool.

Merino wool is a natural, renewable and fully biodegradable fibre. Often called ‘nature’s tech fabric’, Merino is one of the most sustainable choices over the lifecycle of any garment because it requires significantly less washing due to the natural antimicrobial properties of the fibre which actively resist odour buildup. We source our wool exclusively from Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified farms that prioritise regenerative land practices.

Care instructions

We preshrink all our fabrics to make your life easy, and our merino wool is definitely machine washable. That said, merino is delicate and we highly recommend using a wash bag to avoid snags from bra straps and/or metallic zippers that can cause holes. Cold wash only using dedicated wool detergent and dry flat on a towel instead of hanging on the line. Iron as required on a low setting. Do not bleach. NOTE – Merino fibres contract when wet and can give a twisted appearance after washing, but don't panic, the fibres relax and bounce back into shape when dried flat.
