Our luxurious 19-micron fine merino wool comes from happy Australian sheep before being spun in China and knitted into a super-soft, 14 gauge jumper in the Yarra Valley by our good friends at Brood. How do we know the sheep are happy? Because we only use cruelty-free, Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified non-mulesed wool.

Merino wool is a natural, renewable and fully biodegradable fibre. Often called ‘nature’s tech fabric,’ merino is one of the most sustainable fibre choices over the lifecycle of any garment because it requires significantly less washing due to its natural antimicrobial and stain-resistant properties. We source our wool exclusively from Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) farms. Brood knits the garment on state-of-the-art Japanese whole-garment knitting machines at their studio and workroom in the Yarra Valley. This method and high-tech equipment knits the garment in one piece, complete with body, arms and trim. This means there is almost no waste created, as there is no need to cut out fabric pieces and sew the garment together; the fabric and garment are created at the same time.

Care instructions

We preshrink all our fabrics to make your life easy, and our merino wool is definitely machine washable. That said, to keep your garment looking its best we highly recommend using a wash bag to avoid snags from bra straps and/or metallic zippers. Cold wash only using dedicated wool detergent and dry flat on a towel instead of hanging on a line. Iron as required on a low setting. Do not bleach.

Using state-of-the-art Japanese whole-garment machines at Brood's Yarra Valley studio, your jumper is made to your Magic Fit® measurements with a fine grade 19 micron merino that's seriously soft, yet substantial enough to keep you warm through winter. As every jumper is one of a kind, your initials are also subtly custom knitted in to make it uniquely yours.

No more shoulders that don't sit quite right, or sleeves that are an awkward length. Just a jumper that you'll absolutely love, as will Mother Nature.
