FAQS

ORDERING

  • Every Citizen Wolf garment is custom fit to your body, so make times will vary from around 7-10 working days for a Tee to about 20 working days for a button-down shirt or chinos.

As an Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) accredited business, we also treat our employees as skilled workers focusing on quality, and not a sweatshop churning out garments 24/7.

If you need it faster than that, we can make it within 72 hours for a rush fee of $20 per tee – please email us your request and we’ll create a custom invoice with priority production noted.

If this is your first order with us, or your fit profile has dramatically changed since your last order, we will make one item first to confirm that you love the fit before completing the other garments.

  • If your garment isn’t perfect, we remake it based on your feedback and you keep the original; if you’re still not happy after the remake, we refund you.Magic Fit® is 94% accurate, but about 1 in 20 garments needs a tweak.

When that happens, just tell us what needs changing and we’ll make you a new one with the adjustments baked in.

The first garment is yours to keep, donate or gift so it never goes to landfill, and once your fit is dialled in we save it to your account for every future order.

  • We make one garment first to confirm your fit, then make the rest of your order once you’ve tried it on and given us any feedback.

Every garment we make is custom fit to your body using Magic Fit®, which is 94% accurate but means 1 in 20 garments needs a small adjustment.

To make sure yours is perfect, we make one first (with a sticker attached explaining what to do), then apply any changes you request to the rest of your order.

Just let us know if any tweaks are needed and we’ll remake your garment/s based on your feedback and apply any relevant adjustments to the rest of your order. If you’re still not happy with the replacement, we’ll refund your order.

  • That’s totally up to you! Though we’ll still only make one item first to confirm your fit, ordering multiple items upfront means:

    • bulk discounts apply when you order 3 or more garments
    • sweet, sweet free delivery if the total is over $250 (for Australia, $350 for international)
    • reserve the fabric for limited edition colours, so you never need to worry about it selling out
    • your garments are in our system so they can go into our production queue as soon you confirm you love the fit
    • you can cancel the order for the remaining Tees at any time before production starts if you change your mind
  • If you’re in Sydney, you’re welcome to drop by our Marrickville shop to get up close and personal with the fabric options. Simply book your preferred time here. Alternatively, you can also order swatch cards online to examine them in the comfort of your own home.

  • Add a note with your order when you checkout and we’ll be in touch to confirm if there are any issues. Please note that any deviation from our standard styles will add a handful of extra days to the standard production timelines quoted in the checkout process.

  • Yes you can! Though it’s best to email us first with a photo of the Tee and a note letting us know what you’d like copied, such as a style detail or particular fit. We’ll try and get as close as possible without deconstructing your Tee, though there may be variations due to fabric tolerances, machinery requirements or trims.

Note that our Perfect Fit Guarantee doesn't apply (unless we've made a mistake in copying your Tee outside of normal tolerances) as it's not being made to our specifications, and any changes/remakes will be charged separately.

  • In most instances, no. We work with small quantity runs and make garments on demand as orders are placed to minimise waste. However, don't despair! Stock can sometimes become available for a few reasons:

    * Someone has changed their mind, so the stock allocated to their order is released

    * The average garment size over the roll was smaller than typical, resulting in some leftover fabric that can be used

    * We were able to secure a bit more of that fabric that was already produced, such as with deadstock

    * We always keep a few metres in reserve in case a garment needs to be remade. If this isn't needed, it can be made available for sale.

Get in touch with us at howl@citizenwolf.com if you're keen on a specific fabric you've missed out on, and we can check for you.

  • Depending on the code used, there may be a minimum spend or minimum order requirement that needs to be met, or an expiry date.

Please check the T&Cs that came with the code for details, or get in touch with us if you’re still having issues with it.

  • Standard sizes fail about 4 in 5 people, so we use Magic Fit® to make custom-fit clothes from your data instead of guessing your size.“Standard” size breaks fail 4 in 5 people because no one agrees on what a “medium” actually is – it varies between brands, countries and even between styles in the same brand.

The result is frustration for customers and huge environmental waste from returns and bad forecasting.

That's why we developed our Magic Fit® tech, so it's easy to get custom fit clothes from home, without the sizing drama and without the waste.

REORDERING

  • We sure do! Login to your account to see all your previous Tees and easily reorder from there. If you’ve been hitting the gym or have indulged a little too much over a holiday, you can also let us know of any adjustments you’d like to your fit with your order.

Our goal is to make sure every garment we make for you is perfect, and your new favourite!

  • To protect your privacy, we don’t have access to your password. Follow the prompts to reset your password here.

  • You can, but it's usually best to create a separate account to avoid order and production mix-ups.

If you can't order on different accounts (such as you'd like it to be a surprised gift), place a note with your order and we'll do our best to sort it out for you.

  • Yep, our Laser Cut Gift Cards here are despatched within 1 business day but please make sure you've left enough time for snail mail. Otherwise you might be interested in our Digital Gift Cards delivered instantly via email.

CARE

  • The fabric tag attached to the inside of your garment will contain the wash instructions. You can also find out more on our fabrics page for each type of fabric.

  • No. Unlike other brands, we use an industrial process to prewash and shrink all our fabric before we cut, which guarantees every Citizen Wolf garment will never shrink or twist, even in the dryer. Yay!

For our 100% superfine merino wool, it will look very twisted right after a wash. This is due to the “spirality” of how it’s knitted, and natural merino fibres contracting when wet. Simply lay it flat to dry, and the fibres will relax back into shape within 24 hours.

  • We offer free repairs for the life of the garment, so it doesn’t matter whether it’s the cat’s fault (or just normal wear and tear), we’ll patch up your Citizen Wolf clothes because it’s better for your wallet and the planet at the same time.

Simply drop by our factory, or send your garment to:

    CITIZEN WOLF (REPAIRS)
    Gadigal Land
    65 Marrickville Road
    Marrickville NSW 2204

NOTE – Please make sure to include your name and return address so our team knows who to send it back to after it’s fixed.

  • Yes. Merino wool is naturally odour resistant so doesn’t require as much washing than our other fabrics and you can go weeks without needing to wash it.

Hand washing is the best option if you can be bothered, but if not, machine wash is totally fine so long as you use a gentle cycle and wool wash.

We also highly recommend using a wash bag to avoid snagging with other garments whilst in the wash, as the superfine merino is delicate and can develop holes if washed together with bras and metal zippers.

CORPORATE ORDERS

  • Hallelujah! If you're sick and tired of shitty quality corporate swag that fits like a potato sack and falls apart the next day, please contact our B2B team for more info. Discounted corporate pricing kicks in from 25 pcs.

We can even do printing in-house for your corporate order (minimum 25 garments) for artwork up to A3 size.

  • Yes! We can do in-house custom printing for orders of 25 garments or more. The additional cost varies depending on artwork and specifications - get in touch with us at howl@citizenwolf.com for more details.

We don't do embroidery, but we can refer you to third parties for that.

  • We can print almost anything up to A3 size with near photographic quality. You'll need to provide the artwork file as:

    - PNG format with a transparent background

    - 300 DPI

    - Dimensions set to actual print size

We use non-toxic inks that are designed to be durable and long lasting, even after multiple wash cycles.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

  • Standard shipping in Australia is free over $250 and $9 under that; Express is $18 and your choice of shipping never speeds up or slows down production. Standard shipping within Australia takes around 3–5 working days to most destinations.

If you need it faster, you can upgrade to Express Post (usually next-day in major areas) for AUD $18.

Please note your shipping choice does not affect production speed – we still need time to custom make your order before we ship it.

  • Yes, we ship internationally and offer free international shipping on orders over roughly USD $250, with a flat fee on smaller orders.

International shipping is free once your cart hits the equivalent of around USD $250 (exact amount depends on exchange rates) and otherwise is about USD $15.

Transit times vary between 1–6 weeks depending on the destination and local carriers, so please check your tracking link for the most accurate ETA.

  • We don’t do standard returns – instead we remake your garment if needed, you donate the original locally, and if we request a return for our own mistake we cover the cost.

You don’t need to post things back and forth like traditional brands; if we need to remake something, we ask you to donate the first garment to your local charity shop so it stays in use instead of heading to landfill.

Charity shops are always looking for high-quality clothes compared to the fast fashion, polyester-heavy junk most people donate.

If we do ask for a return to fix something that’s our fault, we provide a free return option for you.

SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS

  • Every Citizen Wolf garment is made by us in our purpose built factory in Sydney and certified by Ethical Clothing Australia – which means that everyone gets paid award wages (or more) and has a comfortable, safe working environment. Our skilled workers aren’t paid a piece rate, which means they can focus on quality rather than cutting corners for speed.

Our factory is also open to the public so drop in and check it out for yourself and meet the team.

  • We’re regularly audited (including unannounced visits) by Ethical Clothing Australia and are a certified B Corp, so our ethical and sustainability claims are independently verified. It’s good to be sceptical because greenwashing is unfortunately so common in fashion.

That’s why we chose to be externally audited by Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) and to become a certified B Corp.

Both accreditations are among the most stringent in the world, so you can be confident our claims have been heavily scrutinised by credible, independent authorities.

  • In August 2019, Citizen Wolf opted in to the Modern Slavery Act by making a voluntary commitment to prepare and submit a modern slavery statement according to the Australian Federal Government requirements.

Citizen Wolf opposes slavery in all its forms and we embrace our role and responsibility of safeguarding human rights through ethical business practices. It is therefore a key focus to begin the process of protecting human rights in our business and our supply chains.

TL;DR shopping with Citizen Wolf is guilt-free. Guaran-Tee-d.

  • Limited edition deadstock at Citizen Wolf means we use leftover premium fabrics from big production runs to make one-off custom garments, reducing waste without creating new fabric.

Deadstock is the leftover or discontinued premium fabric from large textile production runs that often ends up discarded because traditional mass manufacturing can’t use these small amounts efficiently.

Our custom made-on-demand model lets us source these high-quality fabrics and give them a purpose, so you get something truly limited edition that can’t be repeated.

For the planet, it’s a smarter way to create: no new raw materials are consumed, no new fabric is milled, less energy and carbon are used, and nothing goes to waste.

For you, it’s the same custom Citizen Wolf fit and feel – made to order, made to last, and made from fabric worth wearing.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Black, white, navy, grey marle, olive and oxblood are always in stock, as they’re the most common neutral colours that are the foundation for any good wardrobe.

Everything else is a limited edition colour that we get in small quantities. So when it sells out, it is replaced with a new colour.

This lets us greatly minimise waste and provide a much wider range of colours than most other brands.

To be the first to know when a colour is about to sell out, or be notified when its replacement arrives, simply sign up to our newsletter.

  • Not really, but you might enjoy our Instagram.

  • If you've ordered different styles or fabrics, there may be slight variations in the fit to account for different density or stretch properties. For example:

    * Heavier fabrics are made slightly larger so they don't feel constrictive when you wear them

    * Woven fabrics (such as for shirting) don't stretch like jersey fabrics (such as for Tees), so the fit is adjusted accordingly

    * Outerwear (such as sweats and shirts) will be larger than Tees as they're often worn over other clothing

    * Polos have longer length sleeves and are slightly longer than Tees as a style

    * Fabrics will stretch, relax and tighten over time with each washing and wearing cycle, and will be more noticeable with looser knits

If you would prefer your garments to not have adjustments, let us know in the notes with your order.

  • Magic Fit® uses your height, weight, age (and bra size if relevant) plus over 196 million data points to predict a custom pattern that is 94% accurate without measuring tapes.

Put simply, mathematics. Our proprietary Magic Fit® algorithm is distilled from over 196 million data points and we're confident it's miles better than anything you can get off the rack.

You can also add notes or specific measurements if you want us to refine things like sleeve length or how fitted you like your clothes.

We know these are sensitive personal details and we guarantee your data is safe – we never share it with third parties and only use it to make clothes custom fit to your body.

  • If it didn’t come from our official Instagram account or from a citizenwolf.com email address, chances are that it’s a scam.

Citizen Wolf will NEVER ask you for money as part of the process. If in doubt, please email us directly to confirm if it’s legit.
