Back in September, our Cofounder Zoltan Csaki was chosen by the Powerhouse Museum as one of a hundred innovators leading Australia’s response to climate change, to take part in the 100 Climate Conversations project.
‘100 Climate Conversations’ is Australia’s most ambitious climate-focused cultural project, which aims to inspire action on humanity’s greatest challenge by presenting an evidence-based and empowering vision of the future. Produced in partnership with Spotify and hosted by the nation’s most respected journalists, the program showcases 100 visionary Australians who are taking effective action on the issue to offer an inspired narrative of invention, community and resilience.
Tune in to Zoltan’s wide-ranging conversation with Walkley award-winning journalist Yaara Bou Melhem, recorded live on September 16, 2022 at the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo, Sydney.
“We cannot solve climate change without first changing the fashion industry.” – Zoltan Csaki
From the origins of Citizen Wolf, to his personal motivations as well as a deep-dive into overproduction as the biggest problem in the fashion industry (that no one wants to talk about), this is an important conversation that empowers every single person to reassess their relationship with their wardrobe in light of the climate crisis. Because, as Zoltan is fond of saying, “we cannot solve climate change without first changing the fashion industry”.
Upon completion of the project, Zoltan’s conversation will be archived for future generations as part of the museum’s collection, alongside other important conversations by luminaries such as Mike Cannon-Brookes, Zali Steggall, Ronni Khan, Simon Holmes à Court and our good friend Clare Press – to name but a few!
